Poetic-Verses

'' As They Rip Me Apart ''

Armed and ready,
The trumpet sounds,
Though feeling unsteady,
I pump up the hounds.

I've starved them for hours,
They're ravenous to go,
This adrenalin empowers,
As I shout, Tally Ho.

Off over the fields,
In pursuit of our prey,
When the beast yields,
We'll call it a day.

But I've hit a bump,
I've fell off my horse,
Hit the ground with a thump,
On the thick purple gorse.

The hunt carries on,
They don't know I've fell,
Everyone's gone,
I've a meeting with Hell.

I'm standing alone,
I cannot tell a lie,
The seeds I have sown,
Means I'm going to die.

As I start to run,
The foxes gather.
It is sixty to one,
I must pray to the Father.

My lungs are bursting,
I'm being outpaced,
For my blood they're thirsting,
With hatred they're laced.

This can't be fair,
I don't have a hope,
Those animals don't care,
How will I cope?

I'm totally distraught,
They've got me surrounded,
Finally, I've been caught,
My body's being pounded.

I'm rooted with fear,
As they devour my heart,
They do not shed a tear,
