You were dead through trespass and sin,
In which you had once walked in life;
Extremely corrupted within,
Filled with the toils and the strife.
Following the course of this place,
Following the prince of the air;
Defiant falling from grace,
Acting like you never did care.
Passions of the flesh once did live,
Fulfilling lustful desires;
Selfish on all that you would give,
Greedy on all that requires.
You were as children of the wrath,
The same as the rest of mankind;
Since you have taken the wrong path,
Because of evil in your mind.
But God rich in mercy and grace,
Because of an abundant love;
Willing to forgive and embrace,
From His throne in Heaven above.
Even when we were dead in sin,
He made us alive through the Christ;
After confession cleansed within,
From the desires that enticed.
The future no longer looks grim,
For a seat in heavenly places;
Because we have been raised with Him,
Has open arms for embraces.
So that in the coming of age,
He shows immeasurable riches;
For the new earth to set the stage,
As we cross His graceful bridges.
Youi have been saved through faith by grace,
Not of your doing rather by God;
A gift given for to embrace,
Continue to honor and laud.
Not as a result of your deeds,
Lest any man should ever boast;
Rather as means to meet your needs,
To live with the heavenly host.
Because we are His creation,
Unto good works through Jesus Christ;
So, show Him appreciation,
Honor for being sacrificed.
