My desire of my heart,
As well as my prayer to God;
For salvation to impart,
By giving honor and laud.
I can testify of them,
For God that they have the zeal;
And that He should not condemn,
Knowing just how they do feel.
They disregarded righteousness,
As they establish their own;
But receives not blessedness,
Since God would never condone.
Christ is the end of the Law,
For righteousness who believes;
Confession will cure the flaw,
From salvation one receives.
For Moses writes of the Law,
The one who does lives by them;
And not worry of a flaw,
Because God will not condemn.
But righteousness that faith speaks,
Do not say within your heart;
For Heaven as someone seeks,
Possibly quite far apart.
In the abyss who will go,
To bring Christ up from the dead;
In your mouth and heart, you know,
As a place that you would dread.
If you confess Jesus is Lord,
Believe in your heart God raised;
And He is loved and adored,
Profess while being praised.
You then will also be saved,
As one who believes inside;
Since sin no longer enslaved,
After starting to abide.
Anyone who does believe,
Will never be put to shame;
For salvation they receive,
Eternal life to proclaim.
No difference between race,
Regardless of Jew or Greek;
All who trust God will embrace,
Will be saved for those who seek.
