Memories  Fragrance

My  senses, subtly  hijacked, by  a  fragrance
From  a  time, long  gone  by, came  drifting  in
On  the  evening  breeze, rewinding, tantalizing
My  mind

Swept  back  to  a  time, a  place  of  sweet
Delight, where  loves  hypnotizing  embrace
Carried  us  away, for  a  time, love, wasn't  it
Yours, wasn't  It  mine

Awe time, once  a  goodly  friend, has  become
A  Jailer  of  sorts, our  bodies  held  hostage
Longing  for  redemption, from  the  ravages  of
Time.
