Unforgotten

The stars melted into the rising sun.
A vibrant sky brought forth a soulful sigh.
Morning speaks of beauty's face in
This Valley of a unforgotten place.

As a child, I'd climbed the rocky peaks
Where earth and Heavens seem to
Seek the pure of heart, when peace
Of life truly start.
Long hours herding goats, watching
White clouds softly float.

To return in spirit and mind is an image
So gentle and kind.
Days of long ago begin to vividly show.
A home of natures best brings serenity
and rest.

So if this place comes to mind, I hold it's
Image close to the heart, and find the that
Turmoil soon departs.
One more trip to my home, where thoughts
Of freedom, gently roam.
