Whoso lives in the secret place,
With protection from the Most High;
Dwells in the shadow of His grace,
The Almighty to magnify.
What will I say unto the Lord,
Who is my refuge and fortress;
My God who trust is not ignored,
Knowing that He will surely bless.
He Himself will deliver you,
From destruction of pestilence;
Because He is faithful and true,
And providing for your defense.
He will cover you with His wing,
Taking refuge under His shield;
While unseen angels will sing,
For comforting being concealed.
You will not fear about the night,
Nor the arrows flying by day;
God protects you from all your fright,
Keeping you from going astray.
A plague stalks within the darkness,
Pestilence ravages at noon;
Causing sickness through its starkness,
That will cause death at the full moon.
Though thousands fall at your side,
As the grim reaper tries to lure;
Ask upon the Lord to command,
Of a prayer for finding a cure.
You will only see through your eyes,
Witness punishment of evil;
Since wisdom from God made you wise,
In ways for fighting the devil.
Because you have made your refuge,
The Lord being your dwelling place;
He inoculated a deluge,
An immunization of grace.
No harm will ever come to you,
No plague will come nearby your house;
As long as you will remain true,
He will protect children and spouse.
For His angels are over you,
Protecting you in all your ways;
Ever vigilant each day through,
Of any predator that preys.
