Friends in a heavenly calling,
Consider Jesus the High Priest;
Our confession befalling,
On the One preparing the feast.
He was faithful unto the One,
Just as Moses appointed Him;
For being named as God the Son,
For giving joy not being grim.
Jesus is considered cum laude,
Just as the builder of a house;
Perfect while being unflawed,
With the church as being His spouse.
Each house as built by anyone,
But He that built all things is God;
The architect of what was done,
We marvel to honor and laud.
Moses was a faithful servant,
Within the heavenly household;
Such a resounding achievement,
That was really brazen and bold.
But Christ was faithful as a Son,
And in charge over His household;
Giving confidence in the One,
With courage and hope to unfold.
Today, if you would hear His voice,
Harden not your heart to rebel;
Start to smile as you rejoice,
In your heart His Spirit will dwell.
When your fathers had tempted Him,
He made them lost for forty years;
Making them suffer being grim,
Causing their hearts and mind in tears.
For they constantly went astray,
In their hearts and within their minds;
Because they have not known His way,
Of having one accord that binds.
So, He swore within His anger,
That they would not enter His rest;
Their ship will not use His anchor,
Till after they have past His test.
