Has never ever worked for
Anything that's he's got.
He makes his living by
Stealing from his social mates,
Doing his burglarising from
The local workers estates,
Where they live quite modestly,
Though they live quite well
And everything they've got
Came from working like hell.
They've got no alarms,
No fierce dogs to guard,
So for Burglar Bill the parasite
His work ain't all that hard.
And if he gets caught,
Just few months inside
For he's only robbed his fellows
Not crossed any social divide
To plunder from the wealthy in
Their Secure Gated estates.
No Burglar Bill's a parasite
Robbing from his social mates.
If he went upmarket and
Stole from his social superiors,
Filled his bag of swag from
Their well stocked interiors,
When caught he would feel
The full weight of the law
Just to discourage him from
Going upmarket anymore.
So, Burglar Bill's a parasite
Living off the lower classes
One of those too thick and idle
To get up and off their arses
To try and survive
By working for a living
And when he's not inside
Just lives off all his thieving.
Really he's a burden,
An irritant to daily living
But our society is full
Of understanding and forgiving,
So instead of being neutralised
Or permanently locked away
He's been allowed to carry on
In doing things his way.
Perhaps he's just a sad diversion
From the real criminals of our time
Who openly thrive and prosper
By the proceeds of their crime:
Minimum wage employers, politicians,
All those other very rich and greedy
Who daily amass more and more and
Legally exploit the poor and needy.
Those Sunday Morning Christians,
Who follow the Lord's Day
But ignore Love and Charity when
They put their Sunday clothes away.
If a heaven exists and
They go there as well
I think I'd much rather
Spend eternity in Hell.
