A Reflection of the PAST
as for me, My Minnesota Growing up, Boyhood days Foreveringly -in-my
Heart and Mind so Fondly LAST
So much Outdoors Activities-
kept me and my little Brother
Winter Spring Summers and Fall
so so, on the Move and Groove and--
Minnesota Boys
Exploring and Busies
Our small little Winona TOWN
from north to South to west to the east end we
were always traveling all Around
From the city Lake with a trail, six miles Around
we every day from sun up to sun set oh yeah we traveled on foot and bike a lot of Minnesota--Ground
At the Y.M.C,A
we always found OUR way
To swim in pool, play,
volley-ball -basket -ball-shoot-pool-and-bumper-pool, and played-pin-ball-Machines--ping pong-racket ball, hittin the ball against the wall, archery shooting arrows at hay stacks, then pullin back and lettin arrow go so high and daring into the clouds in sky
wrestle jump on the trampoline
and lucky we never had a bad Fall
We would go to the, Mississippi
and swim in thad icey cold flowing --Dangerous-fast -rambunctious strong currants water
and ride our bikes down the big bridge so fast and happily free
Then when we got, home before dark as it was our only boyhood rule in the hot summer
we ate our ma and pa out of house and home
as we always every new day had times that were funner and funner
We would climb the rattle snakes infested Bluffs--called--Sugar-Loaf--
until I took a petty good fall, then that was enoughs
The Reflection of my Minnesota Boyhood past
i could go on and on and --All-- the memories in my Heart and Mind last and last and--LAST
