Modern Birth Control?

In this age of communication
It's  seldom face to face
But internet or mobile as words
Wend their way through near space.
This is the epoch of
Never being alone
No escape when so many
Carry their very own phone.

For you see the young folk
All over this land
Walking the streets with
A Smartphone in their hand:
in the Western World it's said
The Birth rate is  falling
Fewer folk are breeding
Storks less frequently calling.

So when they're walking about
Phones clasped to their head
It's not really making them
Totally brain dead,
Is it just suppressing the urge
To leap on their mate
And there in the street
Start to procreate.

Maybe it's inspired by
Greater powers from above
To discourage the young from
Indiscriminately making love.
Is it all part of a cunning
Devilishly devious plan
By Nature to curb more
The expansion of man.

Should we be encouraging more
Mobile use in the world as a whole
Thus voluntarily extending
The practice of birth control.
Should I accept the bloody thing
With more tolerance and grace
As a possible solution to the
Expansion of the human race.
