If there is any fillip in Christ,
Any comfort brought from His love;
Then let not yourself be enticed,
By the things not found from above.
Any deed done through the Spirit,
With affection or sympathy;
Complementing through your merit,
When showing sincere empathy.
Complete your joy in the same mind,
Have the same love as Jesus Christ;
For being perfectly aligned,
With the One who was sacrificed.
Nothing from selfish ambition,
Nor with vainglory or conceit;
But humbled through inhibition,
Absent of cheating or deceit.
Look at interests of others,
Allow this mind to be in you;
Catering unto your brothers,
The same as Jesus Christ would do.
Though He was in the form of God.
Did not count as equality;
Christ was perfect and was not flawed,
Having the same ability.
He took the form of a servant,
Being born to resemble men;
To boaster an encouragement,
For the righteous highway again.
Being found in the human form,
Obedient up until death;
Death on the cross was not the norm,
But was hung until final breath.
God has highly exalted Him,
Bestowed on Him above all names;
Giving out a spiritual vim,
That everyone else proclaims.
For at the name of Jesus Christ,
Every knee bending to bow;
As Heaven and earth is enticed,
Everyone will take a vow.
Since every tongue will confess,
Professing that Jesus is Lord;
To the glory that God will bless,
Showing He is loved and adored.
