Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner
You were dead in trespass and sin,
And had been corrupted within;
In which you had at one time walked,
Cursing and mocking as you talked.
In time past you had walked the course,
Considered the world as your source;
The prince of power of the air,
Sons of the defiant to share.
Among whom we all had once knew,
Living in passionate lust through;
Meeting physical desires,
Fulfill what the mind admires.
But God rich in mercy and grace,
With open arms wants to embrace;
Because of the great love whereas,
From up in Heaven that He has.
Even when we were dead in sin,
But when Christ had entered within;
Together He made us alive,
By grace enabled to survive.
By His grace you have been now saved,
No more through sin are you enslaved;
Which is raising us up with Him,
Giving us a spiritual vim.
Raising us up to have a seat,
A foot stool of foes for your feet;
Sitting together in His place,
At last able to see His face.
That in the coming of the age,
In our life reaching the stage;
Exceeding riches of His grace,
In kindness to us to embrace.
By grace through faith you have been saved,
Death has you no longer enslaved;
A gift from God not your merit,
You are able to inherit.
Not a result from the deeds done,
Rather as a gift through His Son;
So that no one able to boast;
Since it is from the Holy Ghost.
For we are the handiwork of God,
Therefore, we should honor and laud;
Created for good works in Christ,
That God knew to be sacrificed.
