Inviting Spring

The windows stand open to let the sunshine through
A soft breeze tiptoes across the morning dew.
If you stand, in silence, you'll hear the songbirds of the few.
Rains subside after days of flow, their waters aid the
Life of land and creatures as they grow.

Grateful limbs and hatchlings of the heart will know.
A world of wonder starts to show...
Soft light fills this day with peaceful sights when songbirds
Take to flight.

My old dog Blue rolls in the grass, while Squirrels
Chatter with their sass, but he soaks the warmth of this inviting
Calm, when nature holds the beauty of the fields so loving,
In her palm...
