The Backyard Of My Life

Last Winter Dance

Last winter dance she said to me
The best things in life tend to be free
You better break those emotional chains
Dig out some of your soul
Its only showbiz its only rock n roll

Don't point your finger at me
message in a bottle lost at sea
Ill find somebody else to share my whiskey with
To keep the promise you could never give

When the clock chimes midnight
My heart turned to glass
China in her hands i heard it smash
Sleeping on a bed of rusty nails
Dreams are taking there toll
She puts her little pins in her voodoo doll
But i don't feel nothing at all

Don't ask for anything from me
Wipe away those tears of misery
Ill search for someone else to share my stash
To accompany me to to that million dollar bash

No two snowflakes are ever the same
Bright white diamond
Falling like rain

There ain't no tram to lime street
So you will have to walk
If we ever meet again
There's no need to talk
But we both no better
There's a change in the weather
We were trying to fix a hole
Its only showbiz its only rock n roll
