The Father above placed ten locks
On the entrance to where He abode.
The first "Thou Shalt Not" was the first lock...
There was no key, no password, no code.
In short, sins were simply just covered
And old Testament saints still not free.
For until every sin could be paid for in full
Not one soul knew true liberty.
Now, Jesus was sent out of Heaven...
But this, in itself, broke no lock...
And His Virgin birth, although awesome,
Did nothing to set back the clock.
The hearts steeped in sin were still ticking...
The way to the Father still blocked.
Now, Jesus brought wonderful teachings...
Yet none could unsnap what was locked.
The Lord performed miracle after miracle...
By His Word alone was man healed...
Yet miracles led no one to Heaven
And the way to the Father still sealed.
The Sermon on the Mount was a blessing...
Its promises left folks in awe.
But not one single sermon secured salvation...
For who could keep all of The Law?
If walking on water or raising the dead
Could have taken mankind out of sin...
Then Calvary would have never been needed
And The Cross never thought of again.
But the Father required a blood sacrifice
To establish a new covenant...
And, Jesus without one blimish of sin,
Was the most perfect Lamb to present
The Father with the flawless atonement...
To nip Satan's hold in the bud...
To do what the heifers and bulls couldn't do
By shedding His own Precious Blood.
Yes, the penalty for sin was paid for in full
And no more is mankind seen as lost.
All ten locks to the Father were opened when Christ
Nailed each "Thou Shalt Not" to The Cross.
We keep the commandments...not because we have to...
But because we are walking in love...
And those we may break are forgiven if we
Repent and are washed in The Blood.
There is no longer a locked gate to Heaven!
Surely none for believers in Christ!
Those who confess and believe in their hearts
Still stand on His One Sacifice!

I talk to people all the time, many of them Christians,
who think that God’s justice is like that of a lenient
judge in this world, who will let sinners off with a slap
on the wrist.. They shrug off sin as if it’s no big
deal to God. They think He will just overlook it.
But the Bible is very clear: All sin must be judged!
Either your sin is on you and you will bear the penalty;
or your sin is on Christ who bore the penalty. Either way,
God does not take sin lightly! The just penalty must
be paid. Jesus paid a horrible priceto free us from sin...
we better never forget this. We cannot excuse
any type of sin that God condemns
in His Word....none!!!!
1 Pet. 2:22
He (Jesus) committed no sin nor was deceit found in his mouth.
Isa. 53: 4-8
But he lifted up our illnesses,he carried our pain;
even though we thought he was being punished,
attacked by God, and afflicted for something he had
done. He was wounded because of our rebellious deeds,
crushed because of our sins;he endured punishment
that made us well; because of his wounds we have
been healed. All of us had wandered off like sheep
;each of us had strayed off on his own path, but the Lord
caused the sin of all of us to attack him. He was led away
after an unjust trial – but who even cared? Indeed, he was
cut off from the land of the living; because of the rebellion
of his own people he was wounded.
Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us,
which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with
His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place
once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. For if
the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer,
sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the
flesh, how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through
the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse
your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?"
But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth
and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith that we preach), 9 because if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord
and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead,
you will be saved.
