STRAIGHT FROM MY TILT-A-WORLD (legal copyright Melissa A Howells 6/13/2018 10:01am PST time/date stamped)

why do I write
why do I live
why do I wake in the morning
questioning
why I exist
don't you do it too sometimes
and hey, doesn't every one question...
happiness isn't the usual business of life
its a part-time happening
so you can appreciate it
when it greets you
when it sweeps you off your feet
or slaps you in the face
forcing you to wake up
and appreciate your place
in the big messed up world
it doesn't need to be complicated
sometimes it needs to be a choice
it doesn't come with strings and things
sometimes it is a voice
you recognize
telling you ah this is what it is
like some reliable old friend
happiness comes skipping up in Ked shoes
to take your hand again

so smile back when it happens
grin wide like a ghoul
and dance around like you once did
adopt yourself as today's newest fool
happiness is for grown-ups too
and not just little kids
giggle, snort, chortle, howl
all are reactions stamped acceptable
or simply sit in the sublime
when happiness HITS
its very good advice
to sit back and take its blow
every single sweetened bit....
