On this Hill

Night awakes to the busy streets, but on this hill, I sit alone.
Noise is in the artificial light of the city,  yet, it all fades away,
there is Peace that awaits above the sight and sounds of the
Metropolis shuffle
An old owl hooting in the woods in the distance, fire flys rise
and catch my drifting eyes.  The stars hold the glow of the
midnight sparkle in the heavens
The thick green grass cushions me in natures life, at this moment
Life gives unto life with warmth and natural simplicity of its
existence, the spring is walking to the song of young summer,
Soft melody that sends the restless spirit to heights of splendor
If only a fleeting moment I know the love of my creator in the richness
Of this night.
