Christian Ethics
Let your love be sincere,
Clinging to what is good;
Abhor evil stay clear,
Only do what you should.
Commit to each other,
Having mutual love;
Honor one another,
With blessings from above.
Do not lag in your zeal,
Passionate in spirit;
Enables to reveal,
Your spiritual merit.
Rejoice in faith and hope,
Persisting in your prayer;
Suffering that you cope,
A willingness to share.
Contribute to the needs,
Of the saints that pursue;
Assisting in their deeds,
Giving credit where due.
Bless those who persecute,
Blessing and do not curse;
Try not to institute,
What would make matters worse.
Rejoice with who has joy,
Weep with the ones who weep;
Share feelings they employ,
A shepherd comforts sheep.
Please live in harmony,
not to be disdainful;
Calming their agony,
Damagingly baneful.
Never be conceited,
Or in being vengeful;
You will be defeated,
Making others doubtful.
Pay no one evil back,
Only consider good;
Giving what others lack,
Benefiting what would.
It all depends on you,
Live peaceably with all;
For all that you construe,
God will answer your call.
