From Groans to Glory
I consider the suffering,
Felt at this particular time;
Are merely of a buffering,
With the glory of the Divine.
For creation eagerly waits,
When the sons of God are revealed;
Entry through the heavenly gates,
As the Book of Life is unsealed.
Creation not of vanity,
Subjected it the same as hope;
Nor subjected as willingly,
In showing the entire scope.
The creation will be set free,
From the bondage of corruption;
A freedom the children will see,
Destroying evil disruption.
We know that the whole creation,
Groans together with labor pains;
Not showing appreciation,
To our triune God who reigns.
Even we who have the Spirit,
As the first fruit also do groan;
Through waiting what we inherit,
For new bodies of our own.
Now in this hope we have been saved,
Yet hope that is seen is not hope;
Unless confessed we are enslaved,
In having faith that helps to cope.
If we hope for what we see not,
We eagerly wait with patience;
For building faith what must be sought,
That God fills in our conscience.
The Spirit helps our weakness,
Undecided on what you should pray;
Showing how your humbled meekness,
Intercedes to help you obey.
Because he who searches the heart,
Knows the mind-set of the Spirit;
Since He intercedes to impart,
Continuing with good merit.
All things work together for good,
Those who love God are justified;
If doing the things as you should,
Our God will be glorified.
