Knowing Jesus
Rejoice in the Lord, but beware,
Of the dogs and evil doers;
Because of the flesh that they share,
Being as sinful pursuers.
We are the ones worshipping God,
Rejoicing in Christ our Lord;
To whom we will honor and laud,
Displaying that He is adored.
If you think of a good reason,
To put confidence in a man;
That is then spiritual treason,
Unto God disrupting His plan.
I lived under the Pharisees,
As their laws had been decreed;
Asking God while on my knees,
Directing me from this false seed.
With zeal I persecuted the church,
But through the law I was blameless;
My conscience continued to search,
Since my direction seemed aimless.
These assets I come to respect,
My liabilities for Christ;
For I never want to reject,
Why Jesus Christ was sacrificed.
All things are liabilities,
Having a far greater value;
Forgiven of iniquities,
While knowing all that is true.
Being found in Him my righteousness,
That has been derived from the Law;
Knowing God gave His blessedness,
And His Spirit cleanses my flaw.
My aim has been in knowing Him,
And power of resurrection;
Experience His vigor and vim,
As well as getting salvation.
To share His sufferings this life,
And reach resurrection from death;
Enduring and coping with strife,
Receiving life after last breath.
