This joy in my arms

When I seek joy I think of you

When I seek warmth I come to you

When my day is over...

God, I hope I do not die before I have loved my fill

But what of this joy in my arms? Could I expand

My weakness for her? No, I could not for my love is

Already at full throttle

And hers too for she is no laze when it comes to

Love. Many a time we have loved long and hard

Into the night when impassioned flesh has blushed

Beneath me and rolling over in candlelight all

The more comely for it

Oh, this joy in my arms. I have a vast weakness for

This woman and a mighty glut in my loins when we

Lie apart. But let me not speak of rarity rather that

I should embrace the night to come for again she

Will be in my arms and I will rejoice in a surfeit of

Her love

God, do not take me yet, for I have no time for wings

I fly already in the eyes of my love and why would I

Seek another heaven when I already have One? Tell

Me that and I will surrender, but pray not tonight

For I am in full love...
