Remember that at one time,
You were heathen in the mind;
Fulfilling much sinful crime,
The pagans you were aligned.
You were without a Savior,
Because you did not know Christ;
God did not shine His favor,
Earthly pleasures had enticed.
Without the Lord in the world,
Without a promise or hope;
The plan unknown that unfurled,
Stressed you out on how to cope.
You were once so far away,
But the blood has brought you near;
No longer going astray,
Finding Christ, you love so dear.
For Jesus is our peace,
Bringing both groups together;
Making hostility to cease,
Wherever that we gather.
He made no effect the Law,
Consisting of the commands;
Expressing against your flaw,
In what the Father demands.
He might create one new man,
From the two leading towards peace;
Reconciled in His plan,
For a harmonized increase.
For the cross puts fights to death,
So, He proclaimed the Good News;
Giving new life through last breath,
In having the right to choose.
We enter through the Spirit,
For access to the Father;
No longer just with merit,
If Jesus is your Brother.
No longer are you strangers,
Rather citizens with saints;
Knowing this world endangers,
By restrictions and restraints.
You no longer have the guilt,
That God did never condone;
Since the foundation you built,
Has Christ as your cornerstone.
