Every day I dream of times to come
And sigh for days gone by-
But all that remains is this moment;
Shadows dance as evening falls
And the sun says goodbye to day
Leaving trails of beauty in amber light;
It was you I loved in the silence of my heart,
So long ago when all the earth was green
And we smiled through summer days
Amid the hum of august afternoons
When the sky stayed blue forever
And we heard the song of life somehow-
I know what shone in your eyes- I can't forgot
It took deep root in my soul and saved me
When there was no where to turn
And no one to turn to.
