Golden Cloak

Broken light through the door of dreams
I saw your face reflected in the lake of memory
And the world became a moment of beauty
In the vast drama of life and death.
Walking the fields of transient time
I reached the ocean of hearts ease
Where tears dissolve into calm waters.
I believed I could touch you gently
With thoughts that illumine your darkness
And write you poems that caress you
With words that fly like birds into azure sky.
And who is to say that love won't come
And surround you like a golden cloak
Keeping you safe from all harm
Lifting your soul to a place beyond sorrow..
