Don't blame the flowers

A tear that fell to no avail, no turning back

No way to say, that I was wrong I spoke too

Soon, I should have waited what a fool. My

Sorry note too late by far, blame me my love

Don't blame the flowers

An hour I wish had never come, an end so

Fast you'd turned and gone, no time to

Think, no pause for thought, a thousand

Doors and no way out. My words of love

Sent back ignored, blame me my love, don't

Blame the flowers

Sometimes in life a door slams shut, the key

Won’t work, the lock won’t budge, a brainstorm

Cloud of jealousy, a squall that led to misery

A burst of chagrin nothing more, reflections now

No use at all. My loss complete, my darkest

Hour, blame me my love, don’t blame the flowers
