Apple
Gao Duan Duan

An apple is present before my eyes,
so tempting. I am told during a snowing Christmas
by a philosophical fanatic that apples
are but forbidden fruits.
I do not use the Bible for pillow reading.
Adam and Eve, their shame
is the beginning of God's punishment.
However, severe punishment is inevitable,
just as when I grow tired of something,
someone would jump out to tell me the truth.
"If you've ever seen the death of something enormous,
you would have found that all is meaningless. "
In the Garden of Eden, only God knows
everything.
