Praise God, Father of our Lord,
Granting us His mercy and grace;
Our hope not to be ignored,
Comforting with His sweet embrace.
He knows about our true worth,
That bestows on us living hope;
That has given us a new birth,
Through Jesus Christ able to cope.
For the resurrection of Christ,
Being revived up from the dead;
Came after being sacrificed,
Took our place in our stead.
An inheritance to cherish,
In Heaven is undefiled;
Unfading and will not perish,
As your past is reconciled.
Through your faith, you are protected,
The power of God as revealed;
For the salvation selected,
As the Book of Life is unsealed.
You rejoice, though for a short time,
You have to struggle through this life;
Trials that are discipling crime,
Resulting in toils and strife.
Genuine faith worth more than gold,
Will perish, refined by fire;
Glory and honor can unfold,
If it remains true desire.
You love Him, but you have not seen,
Because you are reading His Word;
He has assisted where you have been,
Listen as His voice will be heard.
For you are receiving your goal,
Through your faith for your salvation;
The inheritance for your soul,
If righteous, builds a foundation.
For the prophets prophesied grace,
And has been taught while is church;
Show that your desires embrace,
Of what your mind really does search.
It is revealed the one you serve,
The things that your heart desires;
You need to be building your nerve,
And just extinguish those fires.
