When

When morning light breaks so softly
And leaves behind the dew
When skies explode at sunrise
In streaks of palest blue

When birds trill forth-sweet messages
With notes so crystal clear
When breezes blow fragrant wisps
From lands so far and near

Where raindrops dance and sparkle
On leaves of shiny green
When trees tell darkest secrets
Of things heard yet never seen

When seagulls scream above the seas
Of white topped crashing sprays
When gold sands glisten so brightly
Bathed with sunlight rays

When winter nights grow chilly
And snow is nothing new
When lovers lay by open fires
Know that I miss you.
