 Sir Ricky's Inspirational Poetry Corner

poetryofadove

In the morning, it glistens,

At evening time, it withers;

While our Lord listens,

To the serpent that slithers.

We are consumed by anger,

But terrified by His wrath;

While we thirst and hunger,

Following the righteous path.

God is aware of your sin,

Even knows in what you hide;

Filth and corruption within,

To God you will not confide.

Throughout all of our days,

We experience the fury;

Frustrated, stuck in a maze,

Living life in a hurry.

All the days of our lives,

Are seventy or eighty;

Our years that seem to thrive,

On hardships that are weighty.

But even of the best years,

Are marred by oppression;

Causing confusion and fears,

By secular aggression.

Who can fathom the extreme,

Raging fury causing fear;

To the point that makes you scream,

And starting to shed a tear.

Think of your mortality,

So that you might live sagely;

Of conceived reality,

Rather than as enragedly.

How long will suffering last?

May the Lord give us pity;

And adversities go fast,

To journey to His city.

Let the beauty of the Lord,

Be extending His favor;

Remaining in one accord,

From joys of our Savior.
