She doesn't need a hero
She doesn't need a hero,
She saved herself a long time ago.
What she needs now is someone,
who may not always understand,
but will always stand beside her.
Even when the choice she makes may turn out to be a mistake.
Do not say "I told you so."
Just take her in your arms.
Just holding her will let her know.
It will let her know you care, that you are there,
you are her support.
Don't tell her what to do,
odds are she is smarter than you.
If she needs your advice she will seek it.
What she needs from you is
support, encouragement, and love.
If her heart is broken, she doesn't need you to fix it.
She can do that on her own.
But she will need you to fill it back up with love.
