The Backyard Of My Life

Rebel Songbird

Wearing a dress like a union jack
Rebel songbird the sky will crack
Knocked me out as she pulled me in
Blowing my mind shes under my skin
Blinded by the light that follows her
Eliminating darkness everywhere
The world around me feels so small
She rings the bell as i free fall

Black magic woman casting her spell
Takes me by the hand you never can tell
The song she sang got me hypnotized
A sudden rush then i realized
Whats going on hanging from the wire
She calls my name to dance back through the fire

With her Marilyn Monroe smile
Long time no see baby for a while
Tells me a trick gave me her card
Of a skeleton man in a grave yard
Read me my palm told me my fate
Said i should be patient but i just wouldn't wait
Who put all the stars in your eyes
Witchcraft woman watching the sun rise

Black magic woman you got me under your spell
I met her at the bottom of a wishing well
The game she was playing got me mesmerized
A mystical moon then i realized
There's a revolution in her head
Brought me back to life from the living dead
