Starman
As planets turn and worlds revolve
We wonder where we are
We gaze up at the cosmos
And ponder distant stars
We turn to mathematics
To gauge the space between
A black hole on the edge of time
In a place we’ve never seen
We fire our empty rockets
With cameras attached
They probe deep space and comets chase
To send their pictures back
We listen in for signs of life
A billion miles away
We watch for flying saucers
And hope they’ll land one day
We contemplate times arrow
As the universe expands
Somewhere there lies the answer
Evolution or God’s plan?
