Little bundles of fluff

They’re hiding right now, you can’t see

Them as such, but they’re there nonetheless

Little bundles of fluff. They come out at

Night during bright moonlight hours, to

Polish the toadstools and deadhead the

They’re incredibly busy most nights of

The week, there’s so much to do, cut the

Grass, kill the weeds, There’s pride in

Their work you can see it at once, by the

Shine on the leaves as the sun’s coming

Crocks for the plant pots, sharpen the

Shears, clean out the bird baths, count

All the deer. Count all the spiders and

Don’t overlook, the field mice, the rabbits

The flies and the rooks

Chores of such number you’d think

They’d get tired, but no that’s a myth for

They’re up at first light. Moonlight that

Is, wave goodbye to the sun, jump into

Thy breeches there’s work to be done

There’s a feast on tonight at the Bluebug

Hotel, there’ll be wining and dining and

Dancing as well. Dinner is served in the

Shell of a nut, tip your glass ,for the toast

Is - little bundles of fluff
