TO PRIDES…
To prides and fruits and foods and dimes
Your powers may be to such extent
Not to laugh then at someone else
If they are on your table spread.
Oh yes! Men were but so to have
Abundantly at every time
But as it is “when suns are blue”
Men may not have as much as should.
You should not then baptize yourself
Into some pride and dirty prank
And call them ‘poor' which is not prank
Except you spiritually lack.
The man of character shall live
He may but give but will not miss
A dime of all that he does give
Nor when he smiles upon his friends.
