Poetic-Verses

DON’T GIVE THEM BREAD.

Loud reveling does not appeal
To higher souls – come they like spells –
Who have in mind to blaze the trail.

Who gave the child such view of life?–
That care for bread should rule his life? –
That told a young man such a lie?

Grow trees and palms as future help,
Put them into the hands of babes –
They will still cry for lack of bread.

I've found a way, polished and best –
That offers peace, and makes one great –
It is wisdom in hearts of men.
