Poetic-Verses
THE LOVE OF MANY SHALL WAX COLD
They'll start the race with swiftness,
But when they reach the tough day,
The love of many shall wax cold.
That they cry does not matter,
That they pray does not matter –
The love of many shall wax cold.
With sincere heart they'll start out,
But when iniquity blossoms,
The love of many shall wax cold.
Their toughness will diminish
All their tears then would vanish
The love of many shall wax cold.
They'll curse the things they loved most
They'll love the things they hated;
The love of many shall wax cold.
Their strength and power will vanish
Their praise and all their habits –
The love of many shall wax old.
They'll choose then what they hated
And make it twice a habit –
The love of many shall wax cold.
