THE FOUNT OF THE BROOK OF TEARS

The fount of the brook of tears
With no smile rippling by
The foam of the brook of tears
The frightening brook is dried.

The fount of the brook of cheers
Tumbling some goodness on
Reminds me of the spell
The last of Goodness' acts.

The fount of the brook of cheers
Communicate to my heart
Go softly brook on stones;
Testify to my likes.

The fount of the brook of cheers
The centre of the birds
If life quarrels with me
To resort to its help.

The fort of the corn of tears
The deal of the seed of price
If surely God accepts
Then let him go ahead.

Sows now by quietness
The speech of the brook of tears
Turn back to speak about
The hall of the clash of tastes.
