Poetic-Verses

TO DO THY WILL, OH GOD

I come to do Thy Will
Upon ten thousand hills
And all the shores -
To do thy Will, Oh God.

For Thou wilt not sacrifice
Else I'll give any price
In the volume of the book it's written of me
To do Thy Will, Oh God.

I said to take this cup
But You would never bulge
But not my will, Oh Lord but Thine be done
To do Thy Will, Oh God.

Whether it be, Oh Lord
Upon the Mountain's thrust
Or to the ocean floors or anywhere
To do Thy Will, Oh God.

My quests are these, Oh Lord:
I want a perfect work
Thy Chariots are twenty thousands, Oh Lord
To do will, Oh God.

But let Thy Will be done
On earth as in heaven
Bring down but all Thy all Majesty, Oh Lord
To do Thy Will, Oh God.

I want Your feet to rest
Upon the Olive mount
To feed Thy Wife and clean her tears – at least
To do Thy Will, Oh God.

I want the poor, naked,
The captives bruised and blind
Thou didst raise the death Man of Galilee
To do Thy Will, Oh God.

I'm not compared to be
Of all your holy store –
To be called the least of Thy servants, oh Lord,
To do Thy Will, Oh God.

I want the sinner, Lord
Like Mary, kneeling Lord
To kiss Thy feet – Thou canst make all holy
To do Thy Will, Oh God.

I come to do Thy Will
Upon ten thousand hills
And all the shores
To do Thy Will, Oh God.
