in-EFFECTIVE (Fragile)

why do we tolerate
the intolerable
conditions omissions people
their like
the futility of complaint
and all the doors we have to open
to create some light
on the problem and those plights
which need some extra oxygen to be heard

why is there no easier solution
to a resolution
why do so many insist on being right
when they are ineffective instead
and just plain ugly
in the head
so filled with self-rightness
and the need to defend
the indefensible

they are like a starving wolf
making a stand to save the kill
their only position is to defend
until the death
not knowing that their position is  unwise
often morally bereft
of any other options

unaware there's no real need to defend
this version of their world without end...
it is no kind of any Amen
I want a part of

look at me
I'd say...
I'm made of the same materials
as you are
why
does this surprise you

might this convince you to
drop your guard
your arrogance
your need to be right
when what is needed is to be
able to speak to one another
I am made of flesh
so are you

we are fragile.
