I lift my eyes,
Towards the mountains;
Above the skies,
To the Heavens.
Where will my aid,
Come from the Lord;
The One who made,
And not ignored.
Maker of earth,
And of Heaven;
A priceless worth,
He has given.
He allows not,
Your foot to slip;
Whatever sought,
He will equip.
Your Protector,
Never slumber;
Your defender,
Not encumber.
He will never sleep,
Your champion;
Comfort to keep,
Your guardian.
The Lord protects,
Giving shelter;
Shielding deflects,
When you swelter.
He gives you light,
The sun by day;
The moon by night,
To light your way.
He shields from harm,
Protects your life;
Sounds the alarm,
In midst of strife.
The Lord protects,
When you go out;
And He detects,
When you have doubt.
The Lord preserves,
Your endeavor;
As He observes,
Views forever.
