In life we run a marathon
Gauntlet at times, sometimes bar none
We breathe barely, when storms hit home
Close to heart, at times alone
Yet in this race of life we run
We chase some things beneath the Sun
That haunt our souls that bare nothing
Weighing us down in search of something
I've seen some lose themselves along the way
Upon such paths much led astray
If they just held to faith they'd see
The answers sought today unseen
I wish the world would change its ways
Logic all have, resource to pave
Another road to take, narrow yet free
To lift ourselves Gods word decrees
Just ask again and start once more
To forge ahead, feed deep your core
That runs empty today GOD stored
Much sustenance to feed, you He adores
A Passing Thought
A Passing Thought
