COME, TELL ME MY LOVE

Come, tell me my love.
Come, tell me my love.
Come, tell me my love.
Come, tell me my love.
(2ce)

Where did you glean today?
In whose field of corn
Did you read God's word?
And where did you wrought?

Fast by my young men
Stay by my maidens
Glean no other field
And glean as you feel.

Glean among the sheaves
Leave some of purpose
Ask her no questions
Rebuke her not

Come, it is meal time
Sit at my table
Dip here your morsel
In vinegar drink

Authentic heaven
Baked patched corn
From heaven's oven
Are you sufficed yet?

Come, show me my love
Blest be He of God
Who showed then kindness
To living and death.

“I made it my love;
The man's name is Boaz
In whose field I wrought”
‘He's near of kin.'

Stay focused my love
Keep fast to your field
I've told the young men
To touch you not

When thou art athirst
Go to the vessels
Get out of them drink
The young men have drawn

No one may have known
But it's been told me
The kindness you showed
Your mother-in-law

God bless now your work
A full reward from
The God of Israel
Thou art come to trust.
