LORD OF STORMS

At his birth, even kings were scared,
Because a king was born:
Herod must find this boy so great,
Or else his kingdom's gone.
But He went into Egypt land,
Secured from all the storms.
My God and king, what glorious plan!
Because He's lord of storms.

And as they sailed, He fell asleep,
Without a ray of fear.
Then storms arose, the boat would fill,
Yet He did not still hear.
They woke Him “Master, must we sink?”
He hushed it; “don't disturb”.
To their surprise, the billows ceased,
Because He's Lord of storms.

At dead, thunders that struck the sky –
The world had killed the Son!
Darkness covered as though 'twas night,
And there was no sun.
Then He was laid in tomb of stone,
At least, the guards were strong.
But thunder struck, He rose and shone,
Because He's Lord of storms.

Let peace be still where'er it's ill,
Just for the sake of peace.
Where'er it's boisterous, as He did,
I bid the billows cease.
No matter how the mountain's big,
I'll tread it till it's small.
I'll do the same thing that He did,
For I'm a son of storms.
