Although I speak in this way,
I feel sure of better things;
As long as you do not stray,
To see what salvation brings.
For God is never unjust,
For overlooking your deeds;
He knows every lust,
Desires that your heart needs,
For the love that you have shown,
Serving the saints in His name;
That the Father does condone,
Because you like to proclaim.
I still desire of you,
To show the same earnestness;
Assurance of hope is due,
For ensuring blessedness.
Be not slothful in the Word,
Attempting to imitate;
False prophets that you have heard,
Causing faith to hesitate.
For when God makes a promise,
A hope from no one greater;
Be not a doubting Thomas,
Or being a spectator.
Surely the Lord will bless you,
Obtain patience as you wait,
Know the difference if true,
No mistake meeting your fate.
For people verily swear,
An oath of confirmation;
And never have said a prayer,
Darkness is their location.
When God desires to show,
Convincingly to His heirs;
Unchangeable He does know,
Compassionate to your cares.
Because God will never lie,
As I hold fast to the hope;
For I will not question why,
Patiently wait as I cope.
I have a steadfast anchor,
Having hope within my soul;
Wants that I will not hanker,
For the Lord is in control
