Images  Can  Lie

Distant  Images  invade  my  mind,  loving  ties
The  warmth  of  family  that  binds,  would  to  God
I  should  wake,  find  it  had  been  but  a  dream
These  beautiful  Images,  have  ravaged  me

If  I  could  escape,  but  for  one  day,  on  my  knees
Before  God,  I  would  fall  and  give  thanks,  this
Shell,  you  perceive  to  be  me,  is  but  a  facade
The  one  who  lived  there,  unnoticed,  slipped  away

No  respite, in  sleep  do  I  find,  these  Images
Have  become  so  unkind,  all  doubt  expelled  when
I  open  my  eyes,  I've  grown  weary  of  living  this
Guise,  reality  is  proof,  Images  can  lie.
