I pray that all may go well,
And you are having good health;
Your soul continues to dwell,
Building your spiritual wealth.
I rejoiced greatly you came,
Testifying to the truth;
And now that you do proclaim,
Dropping pleasures of your youth.
I have no greater joy,
Than hearing where my friend walks;
With willingness to destroy,
When hearing blasphemous talks.
For it is a faithful thing,
You do in all your effort;
For the strangers that you bring,
Closer to God with comfort.
You testify for the church,
In a manner magnified;
Such worthiness in your search,
Proclaiming the crucified.
You have gone out for name sake,
Accepting nothing at all;
Kept vigilant and awake,
Listening for Him to call.
We must support those like you,
Fellow workers of the truth;
Anyone who can construe,
And not being so uncouth.
If I come then I will bring,
Remembering of your deeds;
Songs of praises we can sing,
Catering unto your needs.
Do not imitate evil,
But imitate what is good;
Never honor the devil,
As many gentiles would.
Whoever is doing good,
Christ has been dwelling within;
Doing evil only would,
Cause you for living in sin.
I have many things to write,
But not with paper and pen;
Rather tell you face to face,
At a time, we will meet again.
