Poetic Verses
Evel Knievel
He was said to be a reckless man
Who seemed to fans quite odd
Yet one who chose before he died
To make things right with God.
He impressed us with his daring stunts
And each horrendous act
Oft cheating death with every fall
Yet, always coming back.
And as he gained in earthly fame
He lived life to excess
Sparing no expense to please himself
While wallowing in success.
But eventually, his eyes were opened
When he was old and gray
That after he had spent his youth
He saw the need to pray.
That he be reconciled to God
And to His will convert
While seeking pardon, especially from
The ones whom he had hurt.
Yes, Evel was a reckless man
Who found almost too late
That making peace with God meant more
Than the size of his estate.
Who seemed to fans quite odd

To make things right with God.

And each horrendous act
Oft cheating death with every fall
