HEAVEN FOR A DAY

HEAVEN FOR A DAY

I told my wish to an angel in disguise
And this was granted much to my surprise,
I wanted to dance amongst the stars
So we were whisked up way past mars.

Then we settled in the crest of the moon
And there we danced to our own tune,
The sky was dark but the stars were bright
Twinkling all around they gave us light.

This was definitely heaven that I was in
You twirled me round and my head did spin,
The ambience was perfect I have to say
And there with you I would have loved to stay.

Though nothing good lasts forever they say
I know I`ll remember it `til my dying day,
And when I look up at the star spangled scene
I smile as I know that is where we have been.
