Spring so enchanting, it's beauty life assuring, when all of
Earth awakens from its winter sleep, I wonder would it
Be so lovely, if it's all we ever seen, would we take
The sun for granted, or the gentle breeze upon our face
In summer, would we be in awe, of flitting butterflies, or
Cotton candy clouds, as they drift upon, brilliant, blue skies
Would the colors of the flowers, still mesmerize our eyes
Would songbirds tune enchant us, or would it simply pass us by
Would the trees, dressed in Autumns splendor, still tantalize our sight
Would the smell of apple orchards, still make us glad, to be alive
Would the taste of pumpkin pies, still taste as good as they once did, or
Would we take them for granted, as if we had them every day
Would a blanket of fresh snow, on the boughs of the evergreen
Put a smile upon our face, would it still be thrilling, to slide down
Snowy slopes, would a fire burning bright, in the fireplace, still
Cause us to embrace, winters cold upon our face?
Human senses are always hungry, constantly craving
Something new, what enchants today, tomorrow is
Mundane, that's why the Father gave us
Seasons, that forever change.
