with candy apple cheeks
looked like butter wouldn't melt in her mouth
raised in the north but born in the south
heading down the highway to the great wall of snow

carrying some bent back tulips
and a pumpkin for Halloween
sparkles strangle summer's
discontented dream dipping in the pockets
of her red raincoat only to find a ticket stub
collector of butterflies
singing mockingbird songs with purple haze in her eyes
dancing between Jupiter and Apollo
as the candle burns down waiting for someone to follow
sweet little senorita
watching the world go by her window

shes a barefoot joker jingle jangling
lightly walking over egg shells
don't know why shes laughing
at the ringing of those church bells
she rolls out blueberry blankets
try's to catch the moon and drop it
always inspired by the deep inter creases of life

sees a million colors in her mind

takes a twilight train down to Egypt station
in the garden of Eden where wild flowers grow
